Privacy Policy

Sole Account · Effective Date: November 5, 2026

Sole Account doesn't collect, see, or share your data. Everything you add stays on your device and in your own iCloud account.

What the App Stores

Where It's Stored

Your data is stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, Sole Account also syncs it through your private iCloud database (Apple's CloudKit), so it shows up on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Only you can access your private iCloud database; we can't read it. Apple stores it under Apple's Privacy Policy.

If iCloud is off, your data stays on that device only.

Reading Receipts

Sole Account reads receipts on your device, using Apple's Vision text recognition and, where available, Apple Intelligence's on-device model. Receipt images and their text aren't sent anywhere to be read.

Photos and Files

You choose which photos or files to add, using the system's photo and file pickers. Sole Account sees only the items you pick, not the rest of your library.

Data Collection

Sole Account does not collect any personal data. Specifically:

If you've turned on Share With App Developers in your device's Analytics settings, Apple may share crash reports with us. Apple controls that setting, and you can turn it off at any time.

Deleting Your Data

When you delete an expense or hours entry in the app, it's deleted from your device and from your iCloud. Deleting the app removes its data from that device. To remove what's in iCloud too, use your iCloud storage settings (Settings → your name → iCloud).

Children's Privacy

Sole Account doesn't collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy
